Kobe vs. Lebron

Kobe vs. Lebron. Who’s better? Question: Does Lebron have hundreds of miles to go before he’s Kobe? My answer: No.  Looking at career averages, points are about the same - Kobe has a slight edge. Assists and rebounds? Lebron’s numbers are a tad better. League MVPs? Lebron has 4, Kobe 1. Of course, that matters more in golf and tennis. Not so much in team sports. They said Kobe couldn’t win without Shaq, until he did…twice. Exactly how many future Hall of Famers did the glitz and glamour Lakers “buy” for Kobe’s title teams of 2009 and 2010? That would be zero. As it turns out, Kobe COULD win without Shaq. And Lebron COULDN’T win without the Big 3. Lebron’s career high 61 points last week? That’s 20 less than 81. 2 rings? 3 less than 5. But of course his All-Star buddies might help him close that gap. And finally – last second shots…will to win…playing sick or hurt… For my money, Kobe goes 3-and-0 against Lebron in those categories. So my question again: Does Lebron have hundreds of miles to go before he’s Kobe? My answer is still no. More like thousands.
